Katt Williams is riding high on the success of his Emmy win for his portrayal of the alligator owning Uncle Willy in Season Two of Atlanta. The tenured comedian has been making people LOL for more than 20 years and has also proven he has no problem speaking his mind.
Stopping by Frank and Wanda’s Morning Show on Atlanta’s V103, Williams questioned Tiffany Haddish‘s comedic chops and said despite having been a comedian since she was a teen, she doesn’t have any memorable lines.
“You can’t tell me your favorite Tiffany Haddish joke. Why? Because she ain’t done a tour yet,” the 47-year-old said.
Kevin Hart caught wind of Williams’ critique of Haddish and took to social media to defend his Night School co-star.
“Let me break it down to you because I love to support. I go back with Tiff,” Hart said while getting his haircut. “I remember the days when Tiffany Haddish was sleeping out her car. I remember the days when Tiffany Haddish was homeless. I remember the days when Tiffany Haddish didn’t have not a dime in her goddamn pocket. Worked hard grinded and got to where she is today and at the height of her career when most should applaud, most should celebrate some choose to down.”
Hart continued his praise of Haddish, who he referred to as his baby sister, but said Haddish’s success is also an opportunity to open doors for the younger generation of female comedians. “So what I see is a woman who is well deserving of the position that she’s in,” Hart explained.
Haddish also heard Williams’ harsh words and took the jab in stride.
