When Kayricka Wortham was an operations manager at an Amazon warehouse in Smyrna, Georgia, she participated in a fraudulent scam.

By authorizing new suppliers and paying vendor bills for personal benefit, she exploited her authority.

By giving bogus vendor information, which her employees mistakenly placed into Amazon’s system, Wortham tricked them.

She then gave these dubious suppliers her approval so they could file bills for products and services that they had never delivered.

Wortham and her accomplices sent fictitious invoices to Amazon. falsely asserting that the suppliers’ obligations had been met.

As a result, Amazon sent around $9.4 million to Wortham and her cronies’ accounts.

They bought lavish mansions, cars, and motorbikes with this nefarious cash, among other luxuries.

Co-conspirators of Worthams also played critical roles in this plan.

Wortham worked with Brittany Hudson, a proprietor with connections to Amazon, to submit the fake invoices.

Other people that Wortham recruited took part in other facets of the fraud plan, such as giving stolen personal information and setting up more fictitious vendor accounts.

These co-conspirators are awaiting punishment, some of whom have previously acknowledged to the fraud plot.
