Was she arrested? Following a complaint from a neighbor, TikTok star Marrissa Cloutier was arrested by the police for allegedly leaving her child unattended.

There are concerns in the area where Cloutier and her kid live, including bodies of water, wildlife, and other possible dangers for an unattended youngster.

As soon as word of Cloutier’s arrest circulated on social media, TikTok videos and Twitter threads with her mug image were widely shared.

Hundreds of likes and comments were left on these posts, which attracted considerable attention.

Following the incident, Cloutier shared a TikTok video, which has since been deleted, in which she expressed that the situation was taken “very out of context.”

The Twitch streamer urged her followers not to believe everything they encounter on the internet.

However, she also faced significant backlash on Twitter, as users criticized her for allegedly neglecting her child in the aftermath of the incident.

DigitalPrincess Charges: What Did She do?

In late August 2021, Marrissa was taken into custody and faced charges of “Neglect of a Child Without Great Bodily Harm.”

The arrest followed reports from neighbors who claimed to have witnessed her 5-year-old son alone and crying in the yard at night.

As per reports, when the police arrived at Cloutier’s residence, she informed them that she had briefly left the house to purchase detergent for cleaning her child’s bedsheets.

Before the influencer was arrested, she claimed that she hadn’t been gone for long.

However, the police noticed that she was holding a partially empty bottle of Tide detergent and did not possess a receipt for the purchase.

After being subjected to further questioning by two police officers, Cloutier altered certain details of her initial statement.

She now claimed that she had put her child to bed at 9 p.m. and then went to meet a friend who resided 11 miles away.

Cloutier admitted that she had made a mistake and attributed her initial falsehoods to anxiety, as stated in the police report.

According to the report, Marrissa’s mother arrived at the scene to assume custody of the child.

She informed the officers that the influencer had recently relocated from Colorado to Florida, less than a month prior.

Whether the TikTok star and influencer regained custody of her child before her trial remains unclear.
