Two people died following a single motorcycle crash in Dover Township on Sunday.
The Harley Davidson was on State Route 800 on Sunday evening when it veered off the road, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s New Philadelphia Post.
The driver, 42-year-old Cory Herron of Dover, was travelling north in Dover Township when he failed to negotiate a curve and collided with a guardrail, according to an ongoing investigation. Michelle Orr, 43, of Dover, who was Herron’s passenger, also sustained fatal injuries.
The Dover police and fire departments, Smith Ambulance, the Tuscarawas County Coroner’s Office, the Tuscarawas Sheriff’s Office, and other organizations provided assistance.
